Job summary

Cherokee Federal is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to perform medical evaluations for MEPS applicants at on-site locations across multiple states, including Florida. The role requires DoD clearance readiness and CAC/PIV eligibility, with a focus on comprehensive health assessments and accurate medical documentation.

Ideal candidates hold an NP degree with ANCC/ANPCP certification, licensed to practice in the U.S., and at least 1 year of post-graduate patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Nurse Practitioner program, accredited by ANCC or ANPCP.
• Board certified in FNP, ANP, Adult-Gerontology NP or Acute Care NP.
• Current, unrestricted NP license in any U.S. state or territory.
• Minimum of one year post-graduate direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical histories and physical exams for MEPS applicants to assess eligibility.
• Review medical documentation and test results to determine qualifications.
• Lead mental health and general health assessments with specialists as needed.
• Apply military accession standards and coordinate additional evaluations.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in MHS Genesis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure smooth operations.
