Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants at multiple on-site locations. Responsibilities include histories, exams, and coordinating with specialists to ensure compliance with DoD medical standards.

The ideal candidate holds a master's or doctoral NP, board certification, and an unrestricted U.S. NP license, plus 1+ year of direct patient care. MEPS experience is preferred; CAC/PIV clearance may be required.

Qualifications

Master's or Doctoral NP degree; ANCC/ANPCP board certified.
Current, unrestricted NP license in any U.S. state or territory.
Minimum of one year post-graduate direct patient care experience.
Experience in MEPS facilities preferred; familiarity with military standards and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct histories and physical examinations for military applicants per DoD/military health standards.
Review medical docs, tests, and histories to determine qualifications.
Lead mental health and general health assessments with specialists as needed.
Maintain HIPAA privacy and ensure accurate EHR documentation and data quality.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient medical processing workflows.
