Job summary
Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to perform comprehensive medical evaluations for MEPS applicants in on-site locations. You will conduct histories, exams, and coordinate with specialists to ensure compliance with military medical standards.
The role requires board-certified NP status, an active US NP license, BLS, and MEPS experience. Excellent clinical judgment and HIPAA adherence are essential for accurate EHR documentation and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Board certification in an NP specialty (FNP/ANP/AGNP/ACNP) is required.
- Current, unrestricted NP license in any US state or territory is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform medical histories and physical examinations for MEPS applicants in accordance with DoD standards.
- Review medical documentation, test results, and histories to determine qualification for service.
- Lead mental health and general health assessments, coordinating with specialists as needed.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation in the EHR system.
