Wellpath in Arkansas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical services to incarcerated patients under supervision of the Site Medical Director. You will document care and coordinate with on-site physicians and health services administrators.

The role includes exams, chronic care, emergencies, and ensuring adherence to formulary guidelines, with rotation of hours. This position is full-time, day shift, located at Cummins Unit, and offers training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with active NP licensure.
• Advanced degree in an approved Nurse Practitioner program.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to inmates, including exams, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds.
• Maintains accurate progress notes in SOAP format and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and makes decisions regarding non-formulary drugs or referrals.
• Supports policies for admission, transfer, and specialty referrals.
• Maintains confidentiality and contributes to facility committees as requested.
