You will perform exams, chronic care clinics, and rounds, ensuring timely documentation and coordination with physicians to maintain high standards of care.

Applicants must hold an NP license for the state, CPR certification, and have prior medical/surgical or emergency/trauma experience; corrections

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Advanced degree in an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current NP licensure in the state of employment.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prior medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma experience preferred.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Scheduling flexibility for rotating hours and emergency coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to inmates, including exams and clinic rounds.
• Maintains SOAP documentation and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and coordinates referrals or non-formulary decisions.
• Supports admission, transfer, and specialty referrals per policy.
• Maintains confidentiality and participates in facility committees as requested.
