Responsibilities

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients, embracing Harm Reduction philosophy.
• Schedules appointments and oversees patient flow in the office.
• Participates in provider and staff meetings as directed by Medical Director.
• Interprets test results and communicates feedback to patients.
• Counsels patients regarding medication adherence and treatment plans.
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough documentation.

Description

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
• Works closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and oversees patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients
• Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director
• Interprets test results to diagnose any health issues and provides feedback to patients
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care
• Patient follow up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment
• Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary
• Reviews any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director
