Job summary

SaVida Health in West Springfield, MA is seeking a dedicated medical professional to join our outpatient addiction treatment team. You will schedule patient flow, support the Medical Director, and document evaluations and follow-up care with attention to accuracy and coordination of services.

The role requires active MA license with prescriptive authority, current DEA certificate, and EMR experience. Prior SUD treatment experience is preferred. Monday–Friday, full-time position.

Qualifications

• EMR software experience.
• Current MA license with prescriptive authority in good standing.
• U.S. DEA Certificate.
• Prior experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments and oversees patient flow with the center administrator and medical receptionist.
• Interprets test results to diagnose health issues and provide feedback to patients.
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance and treatment plans.
• Completes patient evaluations and exams with thorough, timely documentation for coordination of care.

Description

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
• Works closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and oversees patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients
• Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director
• Interprets test results to diagnose any health issues and provides feedback to patients
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care
• Patient follow up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment
• Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary
• Reviews any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director
