Job summary

Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. is seeking an outpatient nurse in Waltham, MA for a 32-hour weekly schedule.

The position requires MA LPN or RN licensure, CPR within 90 days, and strong communication in a diverse setting. Compensation includes hourly rates and weekend differentials, plus comprehensive benefits and tuition options.

Qualifications

• Must be a MA Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
• Must have a current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must display independent judgment to determine appropriate actions in emergencies.
• Must communicate effectively in written and oral form in a diverse setting.
• Experience in substance abuse/mental health or acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• Control, counting and documentation of onsite medication.
• Educating clients on use, purpose, side effects, and information relating to medication assisted treatment.
• Verifying medication orders with the physician and transcribing orders.
• Assisting in the admission process and documenting substance use diagnoses as required.

Pay rate

$35/hour (LPN) - $37/hour (RN). Shift Differential(s): $3 / hour on weekends

The Outpatient Nurse Is Responsible For

• Administering medication to clients as outlined in medication administration policy.
• The control, counting and appropriate documentation of onsite medication.
