Job summary

Jefferson Lansdale Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead the Intermediate Unit/Telemetry. You will coordinate nursing care, supervise staff, and drive quality and safety initiatives in a dynamic, teaching environment.

Responsibilities include staffing, policy development, performance evaluations, and collaboration with nursing leadership to achieve organizational goals. Strong communication and clinical expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• 3 years acute care experience
• 2 years in a similar or ‘like’ unit with leadership potential
• Effective communication skills
• Patient- and family-centered practice
• Cultural awareness
• Care coordination knowledge
• Patient safety knowledge
• Medication administration knowledge
• Discharge planning knowledge
• BLS/AHA CPR knowledge

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care for a defined patient area with staff
• Recruit, interview and select unit staff
• Develop and evaluate staffing plans to meet patient needs
• Develop and evaluate unit policies and procedures aligned with goals
• Lead performance evaluations and risk management efforts
• Monitor quality and regulatory compliance (JCAHO/OSHA)
• Oversee budgeting and cost-saving initiatives
• Ensure staffing schedules and payroll accuracy
