Job summary

Gorham House in Gorham, ME is seeking a Nurse Manager to provide direct nursing care to residents on assigned floors and to supervise CRMA, PSS, and CNA staff in delivering care per plan.

The Manager ensures a safe, therapeutic environment and directs and supervises nursing personnel, coordinates daily unit operations, and ensures accurate medication administration and documentation in the EMAR system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent plus licensure as RN/LPN.
• Minimum 1+ years nursing experience in a health care facility.
• Fluent English to communicate with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to residents per established protocol.
• Assess residents’ physical, emotional, social, and functional needs and plan care.
• Ensure accurate transcription and timely integration of medical orders into care plans.
• Administer medications per physician orders and document in EMAR.
• Document accurately and timely in resident charts and summaries.
• Supervise and direct nursing team members and ensure proper instructions are given.
• Monitor resident diets, needs, and safety on the unit.
• Prepare incident reports and notify supervisors and physicians per policy.
• Assist with orientation of new staff and continuous education.
