Job summary

Christiana Care Health System is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Radiology Care Unit (RCU) and Vascular Access Nursing (VAN) departments. The Nurse Manager will oversee staff across Newark and Wilmington campuses.

The role emphasizes leadership and clinical excellence in Critical Care and Interventional Procedural Lab settings, with a focus on patient satisfaction and regulatory compliance. This position requires a Master's degree in nursing or a BSN with an advanced degree, RN licensure in

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Completed Master's degree in nursing or alternatively, completed BSN with a Master’s degree in healthcare or business management field required.
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required.
• Nurse Executive certification preferred.
• Five years of appropriate leadership experience required.
• Current RN licensure accepted in the state of Delaware required.
• BLS Certification required.
• 5 years appropriate clinical experience in Critical Care or Interventional Procedural Lab area required.
• Experience in Interventional labs experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staff for Radiology Care Unit (RCU) and Vascular Access Nursing (VAN) across Newark and Wilmington campuses.
• Provide care leadership for adult and geriatric patients and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate delegation and prioritization within management responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain methods to ensure patient satisfaction on the assigned unit.
• Perform routine patient rounds to monitor care quality and teamwork.
• Address risk management issues and implement corrective actions.
• Support nursing PI initiatives and lead nursing practice and care delivery in the unit.
• Promote autonomy of nursing staff and encourage independent decision making and problem solving.
• Support and maintain shared decision-making on the unit.
