Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Radiology Care Unit and Vascular Access Nursing departments. Between Newark and Wilmington campuses, you will support the Nurse Manager in clinical leadership and administrative activities, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, guiding performance improvement, and collaborating on staffing, recruitment, and department-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing or related field required or enrolled to be obtained within 5 years of promotion.
• 3–5 years clinical and leadership experience in area or specialty required.
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty required.
• Current nursing licensure in the State of Delaware or compact state required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing and technical personnel; assess staff competency and scheduling needs.
• Participates in hiring, promotion, and termination decisions.
• Acts as role model, demonstrating quality expertise and professional behaviors.
• Directs, mentors and supports all levels of staff.
• Develops and monitors performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Identifies strategies to improve knowledge base and professionalism of staff.
• Analyzes administrative and operational functions; implements system-wide improvements.
