Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is seeking a healthcare operations supervisor to manage a sub unit within a department in Amarillo. The role plans, organizes, and develops goals, and represents the sub unit to administrators and outside agencies while supervising staff.

The position focuses on supporting occupational health for staff, coordinating annual competency assessments, ensuring licensure compliance, and adhering to regulatory standards to minimize risk and promote patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
• Experience with licensure, certification tracking processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports occupational health needs for employees, faculty, residents, students, and volunteers.
• Coordinates and administers annual clinical competency assessments for nursing and clinical support staff.
• Monitors and maintain nursing and medical assistant licensure and certification compliance.
• Ensures adherence to institutional, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Reduces organizational risk associated with expired credentials, incomplete competencies, and employee health compliance deficiencies.
• Enhances workforce onboarding, retention, employee well-being, and patient safety initiatives.
