Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead a patient care team in an in-patient setting. You will plan, organize and evaluate patient care operations 24/7, while guiding staff performance and fostering collaboration across departments.

You will develop short- and long-term goals, oversee budgeting, and drive cost-saving initiatives. Eligible candidates hold a BSN, an Ohio RN license, and have prior leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Minimum of three years RN clinical experience and two years management experience in relevant care setting.
• Holds a current certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise; certification must be achieved within the timeline of eligibility.
• Prior leadership and management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, manage and evaluate patient care operations on a 24-hour basis.
• Develop short-, mid-, and long-term goals to enhance unit operations.
• Coach and evaluate work performance of patient care staff; promote collaboration with other departments.
• Develop and manage unit budget plans and cost-saving initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient care and organizational processes; lead evidence-based practice development.
