Job summary

The Nurse Manager at Ohio State University Medical Center leads the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care in a designated area on a 24-hour basis. You will plan and drive improvements, coach staff, and ensure clinical excellence aligned with the center's mission.

You will manage budgets, implement evidence-based practices, and collaborate with other departments to optimize patient outcomes, satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license required.
• Minimum of three years RN clinical experience and two years management experience in relevant care setting.
• Prior leadership and management certification or eligibility for certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversees plans, organizes, manages and evaluates patient care operations for a designated area on a 24-hour basis as needed.
• Plans and develops strategic short-, mid- and long-term goals to improve unit operations and outcomes.
• Mentors, coaches and evaluates the work performance of patient care staff; promotes collaboration across departments.
• Develops and administers unit budgets and drives cost-saving initiatives.
• Implements evidence-based standards of practice and supports quality and safety goals.
