Springfield Hospital, Inc. in Vermont seeks an experienced Nurse Manager for the Inpatient Care Unit. The role ensures accountability and leadership for patient care delivery aligned with nursing division plans and the hospital mission.

The incumbent will supervise staff, foster collaboration across disciplines, promote Patient and Family Centered Care, and ensure regulatory standards are met while acting as an administrator extender for the organization.

Qualifications

• ADN or nursing certificate from an accredited program required.
• RN license in good standing (VT or compact) required.
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience; 1 year in nursing management.

The Inpatient Care Unit Nurse Manager Will

• Be responsible for providing service excellence and quality in patient care delivery in accordance with the plans of the division of nursing and the mission of Springfield Hospital.
• Serve as a supervisor, leader, clinical resource, role model, and extension of administration to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices including but not limited to maintaining healthy work environments and providing each patient the best care in the right place at the right time.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with all patient care disciplines and leadership partners.
• Promote professional behaviors and standards while supporting organizational imperatives and promoting an environment of Patient and Family Centered Care.
• Demonstrate excellent people skills, problem identification and resolution abilities.
• Be responsible for meeting the standards set forth by CMS, other regulatory agencies and the Standards of Nursing Care and Practice.
• Serve as ambassador for Springfield Hospital while on and off duty.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or certificate from an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (preferred)
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• 3 years’ clinical experience
• 1 year current experience in nursing management or leadership with demonstrated leadership ability
• Telemetry experience
• Certification in Nursing Leadership (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
• Excellent people skills
• Problem identification and resolution abilities
• Possesses necessary skills to promote teamwork
• Demonstrates integrity
• Demonstrates initiativeDemonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution and facilitates staff mentoring and development
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities and the ability to work in stressful conditions
• Ability to foster growth in themselves as well as others

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
