Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Manager for the Wellstar Research Institute to supervise operations, staff oversight, and HR functions. You will manage clinical trials from start-up through close-out and serve as the operational contact for sponsors, physicians, and other customers, ensuring training and policy adherence.

You will coordinate with other WellStar departments, implement standards, ensure quality patient care, and promote staff development, including GCP training and IATA

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Required Licenses/Certifications: Research certification preferred and achieve within 1 year.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Clinical Research and 2 years in supervisory/management roles.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staff development and performance evaluation.
• Serve as central operational contact for sponsors, physicians, and system departments.
• Oversee study review, feasibility, and approvals with primary investigators.
• Manage study build/CTMS processes and ensure compliance with policies.
• Assist with departmental budgeting and billing in collaboration with Finance.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with FDA and other agencies and alignment with research policies.
