Job summary

Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for Inpatient and Perinatal Services to provide 24-hour operational accountability for Nursing Support Services, including staffing and administrative supervision. You will lead the team, manage budgets, and drive quality patient care and staff development.

The role requires Massachusetts RN licensure, a BSN (Master’s degree preferred), BLS, and 3–5 years of related experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure from the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare/Business Administration preferred; BSN required.
• AHA BLS required. 3-5 years of related work experience and 0-1 years supervisory/manager experience.
• Competencies working collaboratively across an interdisciplinary team.
• Experience with EHRs (EPIC preferred) and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the effective selection, development and ongoing performance management of staff to achieve staff experience, clinical, patient experience, quality and financial goals.
• Acts as role model for leadership, quality, patient experience, staff experience and service excellence.
• Supports staff in identifying patient care priorities and promotes critical thinking in clinical areas.
• Assists in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care.
• Serves as internal consultant for difficult patient care needs.
• Prepares and monitors unit budgets and variance reports; ensures budget adherence.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement standards of nursing care practice.
• Advances professional nursing practice through research, publications, and professional involvement.
• Represents the nursing discipline on hospital-wide committees and initiatives.
• Ensures credentials such as licensure, certifications, trainings, and competencies are maintained.
