Qualifications

• Current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal.
• Ability to read and interpret journals, policies, and regulations.
• Ability to write nursing notes, reports, and procedures clearly.
• Ability to interact confidently with leadership, residents, families, physicians, and the public.
• Continuing Education in nursing essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide LPNs and CNAs with confidence and kindness.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders.
• Implement and evaluate care plans for residents.
• Direct CNAs to ensure safe, respectful care.
• Coordinate shift handoffs and information sharing.
• Perform admissions, pain assessments, and required documentation.
• Advocate for resident comfort and well-being.
• Ensure incident reporting is complete and accurate.
• Notify physicians/families of significant changes.
• Provide light housekeeping support as needed.
• Coach and support team members in best practices.
