Universal Health Services, Fort Lauderdale behavioral health facility seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients. The role includes staffing, supervision, performance evaluation and ensuring compliance across the shift.

Requirements include Florida RN licensure, CPR/ACLS, CPI or equivalent, and 3+ years of nursing experience with leadership capabilities. BSN preferred and opportunities for career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 3 years as a Registered Nurse; psychiatric nursing preferred.
• CPI certification or equivalent required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida; CPR & ACLS certification.
• Strong leadership, communication and management skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire and terminate staff for the designated unit.
• Staffing, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for psychiatric and chemically dependent patients.
• Provide supervision on the designated shift and support professional growth of nursing staff.
• Plan, assign and direct work; appraise performance and reward or discipline accordingly.
• Address complaints and resolve problems to ensure smooth unit operation.
