Job summary

UF Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to support the Nurse Manager by providing supervision and clinical expertise in the assigned unit. You will assist with hiring, evaluations, orientation, and performance improvement initiatives, and help manage departmental budgets while ensuring patient-centered care.

The role requires 3–5 years of RN acute care experience, BSN preferred, and current Florida RN license with BLS and ACLS/PALS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with BSN within 3 years or as per policy.
• Current Florida RN license; BLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable to assigned units; NRP where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and clinical expertise to staff in the assigned area.
• Assist Nurse Manager with hiring/firing, evaluations, and orientation.
• Lead performance improvement activities and staff development.
• Assist with budgeting and cost management for the department.
• Support patient-centered care and positive customer service on the unit.
