Job summary

The role includes assisting in hiring and firing, conducting evaluations, orienting new staff, leading performance improvement, and helping manage the department budget. The focus is on patient-centered care and excellent customer service on the unit.

Qualifications

• Required Education: ASN from an accredited University/College. BSN Preferred.
• Required Experience: 3-5 years Acute Care Required. Preferred Charge RN / Leadership experience.
• Required Certifications: RN License / Able to practice in the State of Florida; BLS from AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervision and clinical expertise to staff in assigned area.
• Assists Nurse Manager in hiring, firing, and employee evaluations.
• Oversees orientation of new staff and performance improvement activities.
• Assists in budgeting and financial management for the department.
• Promotes positive customer service and patient-centered care on the unit.
