Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred within 3 years of hire.
• Current Florida RN license; BLS certification.
• ACLS required at hire/transfer; additional ACLS sites listed.
• ACLS required within 6 months for listed units.
• PALS required within 6 months.
• NRP required within 6 months.
• Professional certification due within 2 years of hire/transfer.
• 3–5 years of experience as a practicing RN in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and provide clinical expertise as adjunct to Nurse Manager or Nursing Director.
• Assist Nurse Manager with hiring/firing, evaluations, orientation, and performance improvement.
• Assist in budgeting and financial management for the department.
• Promote positive customer service and patient-centered care on the unit.
