Job summary

Liberty Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a compassionate RN Nurse Leader to work with the DON to support nursing department functions in a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to help the facility become premier in its care.

The Nurse Leader will ensure compliance with standards, assist with budgets, implement quality policies, and lead infection prevention and control initiatives to advance resident care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure nursing personnel comply with standards, practices and regulatory requirements for high-quality resident care.
• Support development and implementation of nursing department budgets with facility administration.
• Implement compliance and quality improvement policies, programs and procedures.
• Surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and reporting healthcare-associated infections.
• Develop infection prevention policies meeting state, federal, regulatory and accrediting standards.
• Lead infection prevention efforts and act as a resource, educator, researcher and change advocate to improve infection prevention.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE NURSE LEADER:

• Ensure that all nursing personnel in our facility comply with established standards, practices, and regulatory requirements for the highest quality of resident care
• Support the development and implementation of nursing department budgets in coordination with the facility administration.
• Implementing compliance and quality improvement policies, programs and procedures
• Is responsible for surveillance, rounding, analyzing, interpreting and the reporting of healthcare-associated infections
• Supports the development of evidence-based organizational infection prevention policies/standards that meet state, federal, regulatory and accrediting agencies standard
• Leads in infection prevention and serves as a resource, educator, researcher and proponent of change in order to influence infection prevention improvement to provide quality health care within the organization

REQUIREMENTS OF NURSE LEADER:

• Associate degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have a valid PA RN license
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Long Term Care experience may be considered
