Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee the Endoscopy and Pain Center units. You will lead daily operations, drive clinical excellence, and foster a patient-centered culture while partnering with interdisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes staff development, scheduling, quality improvement, and budgeting for the Procedural Services, with required BSN and Massachusetts RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and a track record of leadership in a similar clinical setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Procedural Services nursing experience.
• 3–5 years of leadership experience (charge nurse, clinical leader, or comparable role).
• Prior management experience in a similar clinical environment.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead through influence, motivate teams, and promote accountability.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and models the philosophy, mission, goals, and objectives of the institution and nursing department.
• Oversees the daily operations and workflow of the Procedural Services unit.
• Coordinates and integrates patient care across departments for seamless delivery.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates policies to support high-quality patient care.
• Leads regulatory and accreditation preparedness to maintain excellence and compliance.
• Oversees HR activities including hiring, onboarding, evaluations, corrective actions, and terminations.
• Ensures competent, staffed clinical teams at all times.
• Assesses staff competence and designs orientation and ongoing training with Staff Education.
• Prepares and manages staff scheduling, including Kronos oversight.
• Supports continuous quality improvement and performance assessment initiatives.
• Maintains quality control programs and key clinical indicators.
• Champions service-excellence strategies to enhance patient/family experience.
• Plans for new services, space needs, and resources across departments.
• Develops, manages, and monitors unit budgets.
• Participates in equipment selection and understands manufacturer guidelines.
• Understands billing processes and expense management.
