Job summary

IU Health in Bloomington is seeking an Assistant Manager of Clinical Operations to join our unit leadership. You will partner with the unit Manager to drive quality and safety improvements, enhance patient experiences, and empower a multidisciplinary team.

The role leads implementation, analyzes outcomes, and fosters evidence-based nursing practice across 24/7 operations. The position requires a BSN, active Indiana RN license, and BLS with possible additional life support as per unit policy.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Active RN license in Indiana or an adjacent compact.
BLS certification through AHA; additional life support may be required.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with unit Manager to develop quality, safety, and patient experience action plans.
Lead execution of plans and evaluate outcomes for effectiveness.
Foster team empowerment and continuous improvement across shifts.
Support advancement of nursing practice through evidence-based standards.
Serve as a key member of the unit leadership team, ensuring 24/7 operational coverage.
Promote safety culture and professional growth within the team.
