Indiana University Health is seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to lead an Adult Medical Unit with a focus on quality, safety, and patient experience. The role combines clinical expertise with leadership to drive strategic priorities and operational excellence on a 24/7 on-site unit.

Ideal candidates hold a BSN (MSN preferred), possess RN licensure in Indiana or NLC, and have prior leadership in progressive care. Reports to the Clinical Operations Director and oversees 40-45 staff members.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Nursing (BSN).
• If bachelor degree not in nursing, must have Master of Nursing (MSN).
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Required Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes: quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences.
• Provide strategic vision and operational planning for the assigned unit.
• Lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
• Advance nursing practice by advocating and embedding evidenced-base practices and professional nursing standards.
• Oversee a unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays.
