Job summary

Copper Springs East in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a House Supervisor (RN) for behavioral health. The role involves leading nursing staff, coordinating scheduling, and ensuring safe, compliant patient care in a modern behavioral health hospital.

The position requires a current RN license, an associate degree, and CPR/de-escalation certifications within 30 days. BSN preferred; psychiatric experience is a plus. Schedule is 3x12 days (7a–7p) with Thursday–Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate degree from an accredited nursing school.
• CPR and de-escalation certifications within 30 days of hire.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience in a psychiatric health-care facility with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or geriatric patients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling and staffing for the nursing department; ensure coverage, minimize overtime and agency use, and approve/deny time-off requests.
• Monitor staff attendance, keep records of tardiness/absences, and assist with payroll.
• Provide backup nursing and intake assistance; respond to patient needs and advocate for patients.
• Supervise hospital operations when administration is not present; oversee staff performance and provide coaching/education.
• Conduct staff evaluations and disciplinary actions professionally and promptly.
• Assist the Director of Nursing with department meetings and minutes; support intake as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory standards (TJC, Medicaid, state and federal laws) and ensure compliance.
• Conduct investigations, document findings, and provide reports.
