Summary

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

License Requirement: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and one (1) year of full‑time oncology nursing experience; or
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and one (1) year of full‑time critical care experience; or
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and two (2) years of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, one (1) year of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full‑time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.

Note

• Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full‑time probationary period as a Nurse II.
• Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one (1) year critical care and perioperative experience.
