BayCare Health System in Tampa is seeking a Nurse Helper I to support nursing staff during night shifts at St. Joseph's. You will assist with patient care under RN supervision, helping to keep patients safe and comfortable.
This pool role requires BLS within 30 days of hire and Nurse Helper training before orientation. A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Weekend work is occasional; shifts run 6:45pm–7:15am at St. Joseph's Main and Children's.

Summary: Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care according to BayCare role specific responsibilities of a Nurse Helper I. Directed by the RN. Assist with patient care without encountering any body fluids (i.e., blood, urine, stool, saliva, dirty linens, emesis, etc.) or any devices that contain body fluids (such as but not limited to, urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, drains, used basins, etc.).
Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire. Standard WELLE® training is required. Must complete Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit.
