Job summary

BayCare seeks a Nurse Helper I for the Day Shift at Mease Dunedin. You will assist nursing staff with patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, contributing to high-quality clinical care in a hospital setting.

Required qualifications include BLS within 30 days of hire, Standard WELLE training, and Nurse Helper training prior to orientation. A HS/GED is preferred. This is a full-time on-site role with shifts and weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Standard WELLE® training is required.
• Must complete Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care according to BayCare role specific responsibilities of a Nurse Helper I. Directed by the RN.
• Assist with patient care without encountering any body fluids (i.e., blood, urine, stool, saliva, dirty linens, emesis, etc.) or any devices that contain body fluids (such as but not limited to, urinary catheters, nasogastric tubes, drains, used basins, etc.).
