Job summary

TriStar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN to join our nursing team under RN supervision. You will assist with basic patient care activities, support the care team, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification current.
• Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
• Can be considered for Nurse Extern after completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first semester of RN program.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge to provide care for patient populations in the department.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while supporting patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in the appropriate computer screens.
• Assist with ADLs for assigned patients.
