Job summary

TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Nurse Extern PRN. The role supports patient care under RN supervision, focusing on basic nursing functions and activities of daily living while you progress in your nursing program.

You must be enrolled in an accredited RN program, have a high school diploma or GED, and hold or obtain BLS. Additional requirements include completion of first nursing semester or CNA in first RN term and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification current.
• Must be a student enrolled in an accredited RN nursing program.
• Can be considered for Nurse Extern after first nursing semester or CNA in first RN term.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision.
• Communicate pertinent information to appropriate individuals.
• Deliver compassionate, holistic care while respecting patient rights and dignity.
• Document patient care information in the appropriate computer screens.
• Assist with ADLs for assigned patients.

Education
