Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; current enrollment in an accredited prelicensure nursing program with anticipated graduation within 12 months from start of externship.
• Listed as Nursing Assistant I with North Carolina DHHS.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mansioni

• Observe, collect, and document patient information; report significant changes to RN or provider.
• Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Care for patients per plan of care, including vital signs, specimen collection, wound care, catheter care, glucose checks, and ROM exercises.
• Provide direct personal care for activities of daily living.
• Support cleaning, restocking, and clerical tasks.
• Reinforce patient teaching and document understanding.
