Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; current enrollment in accredited prelicensure nursing program with anticipated graduation within 12 months.
• Nursing Assistant I listed with the North Carolina DHHS
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Observes, collects, and documents patient information; reports significant changes to RN or provider.
• Assists patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge.
• Preforms care per plan of care: vital signs, wound care, glucose checks, mobility assistance, and routine activities of daily living.
• Supports direct and indirect patient care; maintains clean and stocked work areas.
• Reinforces patient education and assists with examinations and procedures as directed.
