Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one clinical rotation in an acute care setting.
• Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with at least one completed clinical.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and computer skills.
• Ability to work under stress, maintain professionalism, and adhere to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist with age-appropriate, culturally competent patient care activities such as hygiene, vital signs, mobility, and comfort measures.
• Perform approved advanced technical procedures like phlebotomy, suctioning, and Foley catheter removal, aligned with training.
• Support a safe, clean environment, and adhere to infection control and universal precautions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring proper documentation and reporting.
• Participate in hourly rounding, support team initiatives, and promote positive patient experiences.
• Complete professional development activities like meetings and enrichment sessions.
