Wellstar Health System is seeking a Student Nurse Extern to gain bedside experience while completing an RN degree. The SNE provides basic care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse and participates in unit performance improvement initiatives to support patient-centered care.

The role requires at least one clinical rotation in an acute care setting, a high school diploma or equivalent, and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and one nursing clinical semester are required.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; strong customer service skills.
• Basic computer and medical terminology knowledge required.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist with hygiene, nutrition, and daily living activities as assigned.
• Support safe and age-appropriate, culturally competent care.
• Participate in hourly patient rounding and communicate needs to the RN.
• Maintain unit cleanliness and follow PPE/infection control policies.
• Assist with transport of supplies, medications, and equipment.
