Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education for LPN/PN and RN students. Responsibilities include classroom, lab, simulation, and/or clinical instruction across multiple settings, with focus on evaluating progress and ensuring competency.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN experience, with strong communication and mentoring skills to support student

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to taught courses and clinical experiences.
• Demonstrated knowledge in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long‑term care, sub‑acute, and acute sites.
• Create a positive learning environment that supports academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and promote safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence per program standards.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports.
• Maintain attendance records and provide feedback to students.
• Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to support student success.
