Job summary

Brookside Inn Skilled Nursing Facility seeks a Nurse Educator (RN or LPN) to join our leadership team and drive clinical excellence, staff development, and continuous learning.

As the Nurse Educator, you will plan, implement, direct, and evaluate our comprehensive general and clinical education programs, coordinate orientations for new hires, maintain staff competencies, and ensure alignment with current standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado.
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care with wound care and restorative nursing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate robust general and clinical orientations for new hires and existing staff.
• Design, schedule, and post monthly educational calendars and run skills fairs, trainings, and all-staff meetings.
• Conduct CPR classes to maintain up-to-date certifications.
• Utilize online learning platforms to track nursing competencies and attendance.
• Assess resident and staff needs to develop targeted educational programs.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate educational needs and provide recommendations to administration and HR.
• Function as a charge nurse and/or medication/treatment nurse as needed.
