The role requires a Master’s in Nursing, 5+ years of RN clinical experience, 3+ years as an educator, NY RN license, BCLS and ACLS, and strong teaching, leadership, and project management skills. It will partner with Nursing Leadership to improve care quality and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum three (3) years of nurse educator experience.
• Current NY State RN License, required.
• Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
• Certification in specialty area is required within 2 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Develops and initiates orientation/onboarding and ongoing staff development programs.
• Collaborates with nursing leadership to identify and maintain standards of nursing practice.
• Assesses learning needs of nursing staff and documents outcomes.
• Provides clinical supervision, coaching or mentoring based on learner needs.
• Evaluates staff competency and participates in remediation when necessary.
• Maintains records of educational programs including onboarding, staff development, and education activities.
