Job summary

Hartford Hospital is seeking an experienced Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to support nurse learners and maintain high standards of clinical education. You will collaborate with Emergency Department leadership to drive competency, onboarding, and ongoing professional development for Hartford HealthCare colleagues.

The role requires a CT nursing license, current BLS, and a track record in acute care with teaching or development experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of acute care nursing experience.
1 year of teaching or nursing professional development experience preferred.
Current Connecticut nursing license (CT).
BLS certification required. Enrollment in MSN/related field with degree completion within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

Support learners within Nursing Professional Development, Scope and Standards.
Collaborate with Emergency Department leadership to manage competency development.
Foster professional role development, policy standardization, and onboarding of Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
Contribute to education initiatives and simulation-based learning where applicable.
