Hartford HealthCare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator (NPD) to influence professional practice and learner growth across our Hartford HealthCare system. The role requires RN licensure in CT, a BSN, and several years of clinical nursing experience with a focus on education and quality improvement.

The educator collaborates with nursing leadership to develop programs, promote evidence-based practice, and mentor staff through onboarding and ongoing professional development.

Formación

• BSN degree required and CT RN license.
• Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty for ambulatory/ancillary environments.
• NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire.
• BLS required.

Responsabilidades

• Learning Facilitator: Uses educational design and adult learning principles to bridge gaps identified through learning needs assessment and outcomes evaluation.
• Collaborative Partner: Works with nursing leadership to assess learning needs, develop programs, monitor clinical competency and support action plans; represents nursing in inter-professional learning activities.
• Role Development: Promotes professional nursing practice and quality patient care per ANA standards; supports theory-based practice.
• Mentor: Advances nursing profession and the NPD specialty by contributing to professional development.
• Competency Management: Uses tools to capture knowledge, skill, ability judgment and performance.
• Orientation: Develops, facilitates, conducts and evaluates onboarding programs when changes occur.
• Change Agent: Drives process changes at micro/meso/macro levels with change management strategies.
• Champion of Scientific Inquiry: Promotes inquiry and use of evidence to advance NPD practice and patient care.
