Job summary

Mission Hospital seeks a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice and patient care by delivering evidence-based educational programs for nursing and clinical staff. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Master's degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership experience preferred.
• 2+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice or active compact state license required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• BLS required.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Delivers orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
• Assists in development and management of competency initiatives.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps and promote lifelong learning.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in research and quality-improvement activities.
