Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans forged from annual needs assessments. This role partners with market leaders to drive professional development and evidence-based nursing practice across facilities.

Responsibilities include onboarding, RN Residency and preceptor programs, coaching staff, and ensuring competency validation with learning technology. A Nursing leadership track supports Magnet and Pathways goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• RN licensure from an accredited program.
• 3 years clinical experience with 2 years in leadership or education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and clinical information systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement system nursing education and professional development programs.
• Support orientation, onboarding, RN Residency, and preceptor programs.
• Coach/mentor staff and validate competency across departments.
• Use adult learning theories and teach-back methods to design learning.
• Monitor and report program outcomes and alignment with organizational goals.
