Job summary
Mercy Health in Paducah, KY seeks a Nursing Education Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans aligned with annual needs assessments. You will work with market, group, and system nurse leadership to drive educational initiatives, improve nurse outcomes, and support Magnet and Pathways to Excellence efforts across assigned facilities.
The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, RN licensure, and 3+ years of clinical nursing experience with leadership/education
Qualifications
- BSN required and RN licensure.
- Master's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- 3 years clinical experience in nursing with leadership responsibilities.
- 2 years demonstrated leadership or professional development project work.
Responsibilities
- Implement system nursing education and professional development programs across departments.
- Coordinate onboarding, RN residency, and preceptor programs.
- Utilize learning theories and adult learning principles to design effective education.
- Assess learning needs and measure outcomes related to KPIs and Magnet pathways.
- Collaborate with leaders to ensure compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
