Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Education Specialist to implement and evaluate education plans derived from the annual needs assessment and guidance from market and system nurse executive teams. You will establish collaborative relationships with leaders to meet educational needs and drive outcomes across departments.

Role includes orientation, RN Residency, and preceptor programs, applying adult learning theory and learning technology to ensure competency and practice changes across care

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and RN licensure required.
• 3+ years clinical experience with 2+ years in leadership or professional development project management.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead education & professional development programs including orientation, RN Residency, and preceptor initiatives.
• Collaborate with operational leaders and staff to implement learning and evidence based practice.
• Monitor and report performance on programs to improve nurse outcomes and patient satisfaction.
