Job summary

Zenith Insurance Company is seeking a registered nurse with experience in workers’ compensation to manage a caseload, perform utilization review, and conduct telephonic case management. You will communicate with injured employees, medical professionals and employers to determine diagnoses, prognosis, and return-to-work plans.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license in California, 3+ years clinical practice in relevant areas, and may have CCM/CDMS/CIRS/CRRN/COHN certifications.

Qualifications

• Must hold current unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• 3+ years clinical practice in orthopedics, neurology, or occupational medicine preferred.
• CCM/CDMS/CIRS/CRRN/COHN certifications encouraged.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions.
• Proficient with basic computer skills including Outlook and Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned caseload of medical and disability workers’ compensation claims.
• Communicate with injured employees, medical professionals, claims staff and employers.
• Assess injury severity and return-to-work strategies.
• Direct treatment and coordinate with panel providers within guidelines.
• Document interventions and rationale in Zenith system.
• Coordinate early return-to-work efforts with all parties.
