Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state where the position is based (California).
• 3+ years of clinical practice; orthopedics, neurology, or occupational medicine preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with injured employees, medical professionals, claims staff and employers timely to obtain information for medical assessments.
• Assess injury severity, extent of disability, treatment plans, and return-to-work strategies.
• Direct treatment to panel providers and negotiate plans in line with Labor Code statutes and company standards.
• Utilize and manage resources including external case managers, vendors, UR/peer review, and medical director.
• Document interventions, rationale and recommendations in Zenith system with appropriate templates.
