Job summary

Berkley Medical Management Solutions (BMMS) is seeking a Telephonic Nurse Case Manager to assess, plan, coordinate, and monitor care for injured workers within the workers’ compensation system. You will ensure timely medical care and a successful return-to-work, communicating with employers, adjusters, and healthcare providers.

The role requires RN licensure and clinical experience, with CCM certification pursued within 2 years.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of workers' compensation and medical case management experience.
• California RN license greatly preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years medical/surgical clinical experience.
• Excellent communication, professionalism, flexibility and adaptability.
• Proficient in using medical and vocational resources for WC cases.
• Able to coordinate with providers and employers to facilitate return-to-work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement medical case management to facilitate case closure
• Timely and comprehensive communication with employers, adjusters and injured workers
• Assess appropriate utilization of medical treatment and services to ensure cost-effective quality care
• Review and analyze medical records and assess data to ensure progress and movement toward closure
• Maintain and manage assigned caseloads across jurisdictions
• Obtain and maintain CCM certification within 2 years of hire
• Coordinate home services, DME, IMEs, admissions, discharges, and vocational services when appropriate
• Engage in special projects and participate in on-site meetings as required
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state guidelines and professional certifications
