Job summary

Harris Health is seeking a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to deliver competent nursing care across assigned units in our hospital network. The NCII will independently manage common patient problems, while coordinating with resources as needed to ensure safe outcomes.

Internal Float Pool NCII roles include working across multiple units within the department, with Registry and Agency RN float responsibilities across services and pavilions. A Texas RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include BSN preferred; required for Internal Float Pool, Registry Nursing Services, & Agency RNs.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas; RN license required.
• Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program.
• One (1) year full-time RN experience or completion of GN Program; Two (2) years in specialty for Registry NCs and Agency RNs.
• Language Skills: Bilingual Skills Preferred.

Responsibilities

• The NCII independently and safely manages patients with problems common to assigned clinical area; seeks resources when needed.
• Internal Float Pool NCII may work in any unit within the department(s).
• Registry Nursing Services NCs and Agency RNs float within a Service, across multiple Services, and across pavilions.
